My Story

It hasn't all been plain sailing to be fair. Life throws curve balls after all. Things got the better of me towards the end of my military career and I was diagnosed with a Post-traumatic Depressive Dissorder. It was at this point that I realised that I would have to turn my own life around and so I undertook a personal journey of discovery to explore various methods for improving resilience and wellbeing. During this time I found mindfulness and positive psychology to be enormously beneficial and undertook training and research at both Oxford and Bangor universities to teach others. I also relied on my love of the outdoors and adventure to ensure my spirits lifted over time and that my condition abated in due course. Having healed means that I can say with all genuineness that I have tried and tested the tools I offer in therapy and training delivery. I now embrace life for the wonderful challenge that it is, firm in the knowledge of who I am and what I have to offer others. This is my superpower!
